About this game

Wizards Advance: All We've Got Is Magic is a single-player retro action RPG about one lone wizard against a cursed land. Blast ghouls, skeleton knights and specters with staff bolts, fireballs and frost. Level up fast, grab glowing loot, and forge your gear at the Dwarf's Workbench.

No grind. Quick levels. A focused adventure you can finish in two days of play — from Wizards Dale through the Forest, the Bears Warrens, the Castle, dark tunnels, crypts and a haunted pond, all the way down to the Sleeping Dragon's Lair and the Elder Dragon itself.

  • 16 spells with real growth — from Blink and Fireball to Stone Giants and Serpent Call
  • Six craftable staffs — Rusty, Weak, Wind, Fire, Knockback and Lava
  • Armor sets, crafting and a Dwarf Merchant who actually has what you need
  • Four difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard and Nightmare
  • An original theme soundtrack — “All We've Got Is Magic”

Early access

Early access opens October 28, 2026 — just in time for Halloween — with the first two regions: Hollow Graveyard and Gourd Woods. Weekly updates, new spells and backer votes run through November and December, and the full game — with the Frost Crypt — arrives on Christmas Day, 2026.

About the developer

It started with an envelope: a ten dollar bill, a hand written note, and an address for TSR — sent away for the original white box D&D rules, then waiting by the mailbox. Wizards Advance is built solo by Bryan Ogden, who also wrote, directed and produced the theme song.
